When Music Versus Politics.

It's a well known fact that everytime there is an election, Whether you are a rapper singer metal or pop icon you are expected to join in with the dicussion about politics.

But is it wise? When you are asked what your politics are. For instants The gay community , if your opinion is: I do not support the gay community you are called more right/conservative. But should we talk about this? Like in the eighties it was the fashion to stand up and speak your mind, For instants We had the united artist against apartheid, If you can remember suncity, you had diffrent rap artist and rockartist joining together singing ain't gonna play suncity. or the band aid (the starvation in africa) and  USA for africa.

Now a days people shy away from topics like that .

And there we have the politician  who wants us to join in, but not everyone is jumping with the opportunity .

But here we were juring corona(covid19) forced in to lockdown and everything changed .

But five years later, what do you say to a politician?

But if you want to play cat and mouse, like the saying goes : when the cat's from home, the mice dance!

The celeb will go out to play when the politician is away.

Does a rap, rock dance or pop icon want all of that politics ? Isn't it enough to tell people to vote . And let that be the end of it.

But if you are an artist and you are invited to perform at a politicians venue , would you decline ?

As we are living in an age of think before you say something . I conclusion is this, that not every rapper or rock musician is waiting to be nvited

But I'm sure they would feel flattered.
